To Trin's Computer Shop
Here at Trin's Computer Shop we strive to bring you the best
service the you come to expect. We have been busy scouring the
internet in search for the best deals on the brand names that
people know and want. We continue to look daily as we are working
on a price quote for a computer system for our customers. We have
several pre-built systems to offer as well as a 100% build to
order computer systems, with a variety of operating systems to
suit your taste.
Linspire
is a fairly new version of Linux Which started off as Lindows OS
in the winter of 2001. As it's name suggest it is Linux that has
the look of Windows. And that is where the resemblance ends. The
Security issues of Windows is not in this version. You also don't
need to buy those expensive anti-virus software because of this.
And the cost of the programs are kept at the minimal cost. The
majority of the programs that are out there for Linux are what
they call open source—meaning that there is no cost
(freeware). You don't need to be an expert in mounting this and
that or knowing any C++, because there is no Coding needed as in
Red hat©. This is just a
few of the benefits of Linspire and freespire, it's free version.
Freespire has some of the same features but not all. Programs are
available for downloading on linspire's website
Why you will not find Microsoft XP Home sold buy us. At any
time, and this could be today or tomorrow or up to a year away the
exact date is not know to us yet, but Microsoft plans end it
support (updates) to Xp Home. It because of this that you will not
find us selling this version of Xp. Also in the plans it the
demise of this version of XP as we know it. For the professional
version Microsoft says it will be about 2 years or so before XP
Pro will be discontinued also. As soon as we know more we will be
cutting of XP Pro from all sales and we will let all of you our
customers know about the discontinuance of Xp Pro and our
recommendation that thy switch to Vista if they have not done so
already.
As
for Microsoft Windows Vista, we do not recommend that you rush out
right away and buy and install this version yet. As with all of
the rest of Microsoft products, this one will be plagued with many
problems. It is for this reason we do not recommend that you
install Vista on your computer yet. We want your computing
experience to be a pleasant experience and not one that you have
to keep taking to the computer shop because Vista is messing up.
